Exercise and Nutrition – moving and fuelling
I coach many people in this area of wellbeing. Creating healthy relationships often involve dealing with underlying issues and taking time to find success strategies and create consistent good habits. As in all areas of life we aim for balance, we love ourself in the process, we meet our own needs and validate ourselves. We do not compare ourselves to others we do what feels right for us.
Healthy Lifestyle Choices and Habits
IT IS – choosing exercise you enjoy, connecting with others, being in nature, moving your body. Managing stress levels. Lifting weights, raising your heart rate, staying active everyday. Having routine and using your time effectively.
IT IS – about nutritious food choices, carbohydrate and protein, fruit and vegetables. It is about three meals a day, plus snacks. Hydrating well. Moderation. Being in tune with your bodies needs. Gut health.
IT IS NOT – about exercising to excess, exercising sporadically, having unrealistic goals or expectations. Exercising as a punishment. Making excuses. Being exhausted. Hating every second. Not resting.
IT IS NOT – about calorie counting, dieting, missing meals, cutting out food groups. Restricting your food. Thinking some foods are bad. Eating when you are full. Being hungry.
Consistent moving and fuelling – I listen to my body I eat well. I train for 2 hours a day. I have a healthy relationship with food and exercise. I want to I choose this for myself and for my kids.
My advice for anyone who is stuck in a bad cycle or has unwanted beliefs or habits around food or exercise, reflect on what is keeping you stuck? And get some help if needed. The fitness and diet space is a multi billion dollar industry but little of it deals with people holistically to work out why they can’t find a healthy happy balance.
Mind Body Soul one entity all affecting each other. One Life one Body.
